Conscious Actions on Automatism. A new authentic form of surrealism to uncover unspoken feelings and desires. For sale this Acrylic on cardboard 30" x 40" by the artist Daniel Martinez (1961- ). Daniel Martinez was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia, South America in 1961, and he is currently residing in Boca Raton, South Florida. He became a Professional Civil Engineer in Colombia and did Postgraduate Studies at the London School of Economics. Martinez has been conscious that to create pure Experimental Art means commitment to an infinite sense of decorum and self effacement. For him art exists Òas isÓ; it is individual and is merely product of a brain activity. The brain makes people's choices including what mediums to use and what imaginary patron of colors to apply. The brain is the boss that commands the movements of the hands. For Martinez, the importance of an artwork is proportional to its individuality and authenticity. Daniel Martinez only signs his paintings after he deeply feels that it includes histories produced by conscious and unconscious decisions of his brain. His paintings have obtained honorable mention and recognition from Art Interview Magazine and have been exhibited and auctioned in the USA. His paintings are also part of private collections in Europe and Latino America. In 2009 he created a new abstract expressionistic style that he called "Making Conscious the Unconscious"ABOUT THE COLLECTION "MAKING CONSCIOUS THE UNCONSCIOUS"The conscious and the unconscious can be understood as two different "story generators". The stories will differ from one another from greater to lesser degrees but at the end transmitted by the same brain generator.Using figurative compositions and Abstract Expressionism applications on the same art work can be a wonderful help to discover relations between unconscious stories with reality.Any ideas before to start doing a painting is merely conscious. The initial process may involve important conscious decisions as the design of a figurative composition, balance, dimensions, colors, process, materials and environment. An unconscious application may be a pure Abstract Expressionism creation. It is important to prepare the hearth and inhibited the mind to create an unconscious composition. Many ways can be used to obtain an unconscious application such as dropping enamel, painting directly with the fingers, etc.The Challenge of a pure "Making Conscious the Unconscious" art work is to create an artistic link between conscious and unconscious stories. Imagination, creativity to use colors, and good common sense are very important during this activity. It is difficult to decide when the painting is finished. Each "Making Conscious the Unconscious" creation may be unique and different. It's value will be proportional to its individuality and authenticity.Martinez says: my paintings of "Making Conscious the Unconscious" possess a multi-dimensional effect. It is a kind of Multiply-directional stories telling. Maybe it is because of my high tendency to design simultaneous effects of induction and explosion in the figurative compositions. It is not an exaggeration if I say that each of my "Making Conscious the Unconscious" paintings can tell me at least one-thousand different stories to remember each day during the rest of my life.ARTIST ART EDUCATIONDBS London School of EconomicsSelf thought and experimental Artist, Since 1998Realism techniques with artist Hernàn Miranda, 2004SELECTED EXHIBITIONSSerie Pontillism, Belle Maison, Boca Raton, 2007Cardboard Series, Gallery - 51, Boca Raton, Fl, 2008Art Interview 2007 International Award Exhibition, Berlin, Germany, Gallery Twenty Four, 2007Solo Exhibition Daniel Martinez, Belle Maison Fine Gallery, Boca Raton, Fl, 2008The Blue Book Artists, Askart.com, USA, 2005Listed Artist, Artprice.com, USA, 2007Serie Constructivism, Belle Maison Atlanta-Fair, Belle Maison, 2005Serie Birealism, Colombian Consulate, Miami, Fl, 2006Open Concept Gallery, Artprice, 2007The art work Creation exhibited in the Museum of Coral Gables, 2008.
