Artist: Domingo Izquierdo (1931- ) Puerto Rico. Medium: Oil on canvas. Dimensions 19.9" x 27.5" (50cm x 70cm). Year 2014. Title; Abstracto. DOMINGO IZQUIERDO was born in Puerto Rico in 1931. His childhood lasted from three years in New York, where he lived the most momentous events of the time, as was the Second World War. Later, as a young painter he also witnessed abstract expressionism and became deeply involved with this movement, his ideas and many of the characters of the New York school. An early inclination for the plastic arts, enriched with his later empirical and academic training, with which he even worked as an illustrator for some time, eventually led him to become an artist. Returning from his military service in Korea, he left the illustration to devote himself to full-time painting. The series of his first exhibition was inspired by the Korean landscapes and these canvases were presented at the Fulton Gallery in New York, in several collective exhibitions in 1955. His work includes objects, sculpture, works on paper and oil on canvas, which have been exhibited in various places in Europe, the United States and Latin America. In addition, "Domingo Izquierdo" has been awarded multiple distinctions and his works are part of private collections and museums in Colombia, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, the United States and Europe. Currently "Domingo Izquierdo" lives and works in Bogotá, where he established his residence since 1978 to continue from there his artistic evolution, through which he has been able to combine the exploration of Abstract Expressionism with the foundations of Zen thought and aesthetics.

-Large items might be coordinated with a private shipper. You can research shipper companies. Our Zip Code 33428. Artelisted will keep the option to don't deliver large staff. We can help coordinating the staff to a another shipper. Buyer will pay handling, shipping, and insurance (if desired) costs. Shipping costs depends on final destination.
Sometimes the items are in the owner possession. In this case the shipping will be from a third party delivery.
In this case as a trusted third-party Artelisted collects, holds in an escrow account)and disperses payments once buyers and sellers are satisfied.

After the payment is verified, the seller sends the painting within ten days. Artelisted ensures that paintings are sent with a tracking number. Insurance is purchased at the cost and discretion of the seller.
