ABOUT THE ARTIST: Hank Gross was born in 1939 in the Bronx, New York. He was a writer and editor for over 40 years, beginning in New York City in the 60's. He freelanced for various magazines and worked as an editor at the National Examiner tabloid newspaper. He also did research and writing for the Reader's Digest.
He had novels and non-fiction published by major publishers such as Ballantine, World, Arbor House, Peter Pauper Press, and William Morrow, as well as many short stories and articles in major national publications, such as "The Boy Who Ate New York" in the National Lampoon, 1991.
Hank relocated to San Diego, California, in 2005. It was at that time that he began painting in acrylics, along with mentor Tony Cuban. He established a recognized voice in the San Diego art community. Gross has created paintings with a unique style of composition and use of humorist and folk elements that could not be mistaken for another's.
MEDIUM AND DIMENSIONS: This is an original acrylic painting. The dimensions are Approx. 19" x 15".
PROVENANCE: This artwork is part of the private collection of the artist Tim Ray Fisher. The painting is hand signed (initials) and dated by the hand of the artist.
